Palo Parado river crossing still tricky
By admin on Sep 28, 2009 | In b2evolution
Although the risk of flooding is low with the end of the monsoons, fording the river at Palo Parado is still a risky undertaking. Scouring has created deep pools in the middle and the sandy banks can trap certain vehicles.
Remember, driving quickly into the water will actually slow your car down and possibly drown your engine. Driving slow and steady on the north side of the crossing (where the ripples are) and aiming for the stretches of packed sand on the shore is your best bet. It is not the shortest route, but it is the safest.
