By admin on Nov 4, 2009 | In News
Resurfacing work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 10, on the State Route 82 overpass that crosses over the Business Route of Interstate 19 (B-19). Work will be conducted every weekday, from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., weather permitting. The estimated construction completion date is Dec. 16.
The four-lane overpass will be decreased to two lanes with one lane of traffic open in each direction. No traffic delays are expected. The road construction zone, from mileposts 1.66 to 1.68, will be well marked, and motorists are advised to be alert to all traffic signs.
The $1.6 million Arizona Department of Transportation project is part of a scheduled rehabilitation of the overpass. ADOT advises drivers to proceed with caution, obey all posted speed limit signs, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
