Menu Changes, New Contributors

SantaCruzNow is hosting webspace for other individuals and organizations in the community who may not otherwise have the money, time, personnel, or other resources required to do their own webpages. We feel these folks provide value to the community which we want to encourage. Find them by clicking CONTRIBUTORS on the main menu or by viewing the list in the right sidebar under Featured Contributors.

The navigation menu is changing. COMMUNITIES contains information about and links to the communities in SE Arizona. ORGANIZATIONS points to groups and agencies in this area. The INFORMATION page contains lists and links to a variety of information. These pages are always being updated and contributions are welcome.

The CALENDAR page will let you know about upcoming events and meetings in the area. Anyone may submit an entry to the calendar by clicking Contact Us at the bottom of any page.

Tubac Fire Department has its own pages on SantaCruzNow.

As part of our on-going effort to knit this community together through information sharing, SCN is providing Tubac Fire Department webspace so it may communicate better with its constituents. Its address is www.santacruznow.com/tubacfire.

SantaCruzNow is getting a new look.

You may have noticed some changes already. As we try to use more current display methods, we will be experimenting with fonts, colors, and layout to make the content more attractive and easier to read. There will also be some changes in content, and some pages will be getting new "skins".

There is an exciting new widget, Google translate, in the sidebar on each page. Clicking on it and choosing a language will result in the page reloading with the content on the page, and each subsequent page, displayed in that language.  So if you know anyone who has had difficulty accessing the information on this site because of language limitations, please invite them to return. Also we can also accept submissions in the listed languages.

Last, but not least, you can now follow us on Twitter. Click on the symbol and you will be notified when the website is updated.

Now is your chance to make this site more "You-ser" friendly. If you have a complaint or suggestion that will improve its usefulness to you, please post a comment or click Contact Us below.

There are several blogs on this site organized by the type of content. The "News" blog attempts to keep abreast of current events affecting to residents of this area. The "Views" blog is the place to find out what folks are thinking and feeling about. "Resources" is where you can find out information about almost everything (eventually). There is a "Communities" section focusing on particular towns or neighborhoods. Finally there is an events calendar which can be as extensive as readers wish. It especially is dependent on input from the community to make it as comprehensive and useful as possible.

If you would like to see something on this site which is not there, contact the webmaster. You can also offer criticisms and suggestions for improvement.
