-University of Arizona Cooperative Extension of Santa Cruz County is the outreach arm of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Cooperative Extension offers classes and information concerning Health; Family and Youth Development; Agriculture and Natural Resources. Ongoing programs include Nutrition classes that teach families with children to stretch their limited food dollars; plan and prepare nutritious foods and improve their nutritional status and health. These classes are also available for schools to use with their students. Additional classes are also provided in osteoporosis prevention. These Bone Builders classes provide information concerning the risks, screening, treatment and exercises for the prevention of osteoporosis.
